TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND TV Telecommunications: The telephone service on Paxos is getting better and lines can be installed fairly quickly. However, if you are building a new house or restoring an old one, it is essential to establish how far away a connection to the telephone network is as, if the line has to be brought any distance, the cost can be quite considerable. Broadband is currently being tested in the Gaios area and is expected elsewhere on the island shortly. There are Internet cafés in Gaios, Loggos and Lakka. TV: It is possible to receive SKY TV in Greece, although not all channels in all areas, so you will need to check what is available in your area.
You
will need a UK address for SKY’s records and will need to organise
your box and card in the UK and bring these out with you.
